What do you get when you pair high ceilings with big, clear windows? An absolutely gorgeous living room!

Add in some built-in see-through bookshelves, a swanky ladder, a beauty of a hot pink chair and you have the best living room I think I’ve ever seen. I could list every item of this room and still continue to find things that I love about it. The bike, the black lamp, that table with the frames. The black and white pillows.

Description: We had a really hard time trying to find a platform for our Cal-King mattress that would afford us the kind of storage we needed for our small two-bedroom condo in Southern California. Most of the platform storage beds for sale were prohibitively expensive. We had seen a few people make smaller beds on this site using the Expedit bookshelves, so we decided to give it a go ourselves. No more low-end Ikea.
