		<description><![CDATA[ Brooklyn-based Calico Wallpaper began haphazardly during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy when Rachel Mosler and Nick Cope were stranded in their loft and out of work for a month. Instead of sitting around, Mosler got inspired to marbleize paper. Hundreds of prototype swatches later, they decided to expand them and turn them into wallpaper.

The 300-square-foot sliver of a space was designed by Brooklyn-based firm Silva/Bradshaw, and features wood plank floors, a dropped wood plank ceiling, narrow wood plank shelving along the walls, and plywood display cases down the middle. Tylaite featurees items from local designers, plus pieces from Scandinavia and Japan. Still House opened its doors a bit over 18 months ago; we&#8217;ve been dying to get inside. Donna can be requested as customized item in the size, finish and wood of your choice. Typically it is offered in walnut, maple, cherry, oak red or black.</p>
<p>The Oh! Donna also comes in masculine form, known as <a href="http://standard41.com/seating_4.php">Oh! Donald. </a></p>
<p>Both are designed by<a href="http://standard41.com"> Standard 41</a>, a company based out of Brooklyn, NY and owned by Andrew Raible. His intention was to &#8220;create a line of furniture that tends toward &#8220;green&#8221; reinterpretations of mid-century Scandinavian and American designs with a sculptural twist.&#8221;</p>

		<description><![CDATA[ Multidisciplinary Brooklyn-based BuiltIN studio just released their first two products &#8212; angular wood wall shelves called Check and Oblique. Each shelf is available in maple, walnut, black or white lacquer. Finished with low VOC stains and polyurethanes either with a satin or glossy finish. Each shelf is available in maple, walnut, black or white lacquer. Finished with low VOC stains and polyurethanes either with a satin or glossy finish.
