I just discovered the surface designs of Spanish art and design studio TODO MUTA . They are a relatively new design company based in Seville that creates illustrative patterns and prints for wallpaper, vinyls, prints, textiles and just about anything else you can think about slapping a pattern on. They even developed a line of limited edition ceramics . I love their work because it’s fun enough for kids, especially the wall drawings, but I can see that if used in the right way, the repeating patterns work well for adult rooms, too. Mix them with fun colorful fabrics and you’ve got a more artsy look — it’s exceptionally versatile

Now in its second year and supported by the Society for British Interior Design , Tramshed is a boutique selection of interior products in a pop-up style location. Here are the highlights… Right by the entrance and getting things started on the right note were these wonderfully tactile ceramics from Karen Morgan . I love the juxtaposition between their soft pliable appearance and the actual nature of the material. Next up, Benjamin Hubert ‘s pod, which is variously describes as “a large privacy chair” and a “little room in room solution.” Either way, it looks like a great place to curl up with a book and hide away from the world. Following the success of the Martini Cocktail set, which was commissioned by Wallpaper* magazine and acquired for the V&A ’s permanent collection, Miranda Watkins has now launched Gleam Bar, the full barware collection

Heath Ceramics has introduced a line of hand-blown glassware – Heath Glass . The collection includes a group of seven glasses that can be used every day: three tapered, three straight and one wine glass. Made entirely in America with the same Heath quality you would know and love, this new collection is made by a group of highly specialized craftsmen in an 80-year-old glass-making factory in West Virginia (what else would you expect?). Each glass undergoes a ten-step process, individually blown and shaped then finished by hand, passing through no less than ten craftspeople to create the final product. Photo by Jeffery Cross.

Mid-century pottery brand Heath Ceramics is back with a new summer 2010 collection sure to bring a pop of color to your table. Following Heath’s long tradition of hand-dipped experimental and unique glazes, this collection consists of four new pieces and items from the company’s classic line. The whole collection includes a pitcher, deep serving bowl, two platters, and a set of vases. Since this year is supposed to be the year of turquoise, Heath’s brought together the colors of the beach: aqua, yellow, and “ocean pacific,” perfect for summer.

Inspired by a show called Britain Can Make It that took place at the Victoria & Albert Museum in 1964 to demonstrate advances in the British design industry, today's collection shows that U.K. design and craftsmanship is still going strong forty years later. Featured are designers and studios such as Matthew Hilton, Thelermont Hupton, Anglepoise, Timorous Beasties and People Will Always Need Plates, among many others.
