As Jufuku means to overlap or repeat in Japanese, Kenyon Yeh used a single shape to begin each piece. He then repeated that single shape to complete each design and create an end result. By looking at each piece in the collection, the repeating shape in each is easily identifiable. To get a closer look at each piece: Jufuku Cabinet Jufuku Stool Jufuku Table Kenyon Yeh is a designer based out of London, England

I was browsing some of my favorite blogs today, when the work of Troy Backhouse caught my attention. Seemingly gothic and modern in style simultaneously, I decided to take a closer look. The first table pictured here is called the Eterna II and gets its stunning detail through hand carving. Its top is made from laser-cut steel.

Unlike most tables its top is not flat, forcing you to think about the placement of the objects you place on it. The second is titled Eterna Primavera, and also features the same uneven top. This table’s legs are surprisingly inspired by popular tattoo motifs. See more from Troy Backhouse here.
