Line Up is a table designed by German designer Kosta Pamporis in collaboration with Florian Schulz. The tabletop is not 100% concrete, but actually a mixture of waste material from turning and sanding wood. Using this sawdust in a special concrete mixture creates a 40% lighter concrete slab. The addition of the really cool neon rope and wooden dowel legs make the table very trendy, too. I’m digging it

Alessi partnered with a few designers to create the new AlessiLux Portable Table Luminaire Collection . The line, which was developed in collaboration with LED lighting company Foreverlamp , consists of four cordless lamps that can be used for everything from emergency lighting to camping, or even an extra light by your bed. They utilize energy saving LED bulbs mounted on a lamp base that houses a powerful rechargeable battery. Each lamp has a dimmer and when powered on high, the battery lasts a full 10 hours and if used on a dimmed setting, it can last for days. The Lumiere Flame (first image also) was designed by Giovanni Alessi Anghini and Gabriele Chiave and gives the feel of those old candles with its glowing bulb

I headed to Berlin last week to attend the launch of the Axor Starck Organic bathroom collection, which is a collaboration between design genius Philippe Starck and the German company Hansgrohe’s luxury brand, Axor . The collection combines a sleek, organic faucet form with a revolutionary way of saving water. Philippe Grohe discussing Axor’s history with designers The Axor/Starck collaboration began 20 years ago and each design has become iconic. This latest design was three years in the making and you can easily see why. While Starck focused on the design, Philippe Grohe, head of the Axor brand, was behind the technology to make it work

I think they did a great job of embracing and promoting their collaboration with Jonathan Adler . The booth, which was actually a shipping container painted chartreuse, was over the top: the staff were colorfully dressed and when Jonathan himself stopped by, they served fancy blue drinks and blue and yellow cotton candy.
