The images are from the portfolio of designer Kelly Behun, a New York City-based interior designer. I’m really loving them, especially the three above. And I’m green with envy

The images are from the portfolio of designer Kelly Behun, a New York City-based interior designer. I’m really loving them, especially the three above. And I’m green with envy. I want those Ghost Chairs with shaggy carpet! And a huge white sectional! And a lamp that’s a chandelier! (Do I sound like bratty Veruca Salt or what?!)

If you have a few minutes, definitely visit Desire to Inspire to check out some more of Kelly Behun’s gorge interiors!

This morning while going through my Google reader, I saw the first image on Desire to Inspire and then the second not too long after over on Material Girls. They got me thinking about being all matchy-matchy. I like the monochromatic look, but I’m not sure I like the matching look. Would you agree that they’re two different things

This morning while going through my Google reader, I saw the first image on Desire to Inspire and then the second not too long after over on Material Girls.

They got me thinking about being all matchy-matchy. I like the monochromatic look, but I’m not sure I like the matching look. Would you agree that they’re two different things? The difference to me is that monochromatic would be an essentially solid red wall with an essentially solid red headboard and a matching look would be the image above – pattern to pattern. I guess it doesn’t really matter in real life, but talking about it here makes it easier!

In the second image, the pattern is repeated in several places. Not only is it the wallpaper, but it’s framed as wall decor, in two different colors as pillows and it’s used in the window treatments.

Do you love the matchy-matchy look? Do you prefer monochromatic or could do without both?

Innobaby is a Chicago-based company founded by two moms in 2006 who had a desire to create innovative solutions for smart parenting. Innobaby’s containers are well-designed, eco-friendly containers that are 100% recyclable, non-toxic, and BPA, phthalates, PVC, and latex free. From food storage, food on-the-go, to stainless steel platters, and organic bedding, the company has just launched a brand new Keepin’ Fresh stainless steel line of bento boxes and sippy cups. I don’t have any babies, but I like the design of these products enough to use them as an adult.
