DesignLibero is a design studio based in Milan whose Fluidity dish rack is such a cool idea. There’s a small planter attached to the rack that uses the water that runs off your dishes as they dry, growing plants or herbs. The fluid base design directs the water runoff into the plant containers, which are with clay pellets and coconut fiber. What do you think of this idea – would you use this?
The Chaise Vari, handmade outdoor furniture of metal and PVC cord by Mexico's Esrawe Studio, is a reinterpretation of the work done by itinerant weavers in the streets of Mexico City who create woven pieces for passersby. Other designs by Esrawe include the Block Bookshelves that fit together thanks to slots and the Centipede series of benches that offers movement and grace to users who can choose from concave or convex seating, or even a spot to lie down. The many legs make it look as though the piece is walking, and the undulating shape adds to the sense of fluidity.
