How cute is this entertaining idea from Better Homes and Gardens ? Add some fall festivity to the table by serving snacks in the gourds, rather than surrounded by them! I love the detail it adds to the table. Wouldn’t it be even more fun to make a fall soup and serve it to each guest in one of those gourds? Or to get even more creative, I would serve a dip in the cut-out gourd and then do the same thing to a large pumpkin, line it with saran wrap and use it as a chip bowl

How cute is this entertaining idea from Better Homes and Gardens?
Wouldn’t it be even more fun to make a fall soup and serve it to each guest in one of those gourds? Or to get even more creative, I would serve a dip in the cut-out gourd and then do the same thing to a large pumpkin, line it with saran wrap and use it as a chip bowl. And then use the pumpkin bowl for Halloween candy. And just as I was wondering how a hollow pumpkin would work as a punch bowl… I found one on Pinterest, also from Better Homes and Gardens!

I love these festive ideas – and how relatively simple they are to make!

What other ideas do you have for hollow pumpkins and gourds?

via DIY Ideas via Time Out New York via The New Domestic I’m looking for new and interesting ways to decorate walls without spending a fortune. The first DIY above involves scrapbook paper, which I can’t ever get enough of because of all the bright colors and fun patterns. Instead of mounting them all on one piece, I think I would frame individual pieces or do only a few of the squares. Either way, I would definitely frame it! The second DIY is such an awesome, quirky idea – especially since it uses silhouettes, my new fave! I love this idea and hope I’m crafty enough to recreate it in my own home

I’m looking for new and interesting ways to decorate walls without spending a fortune.

I love this idea and hope I’m crafty enough to recreate it in my own home.

As for the third DIY, it was really the large canvas that captured my heart. Also because its a great, easy, stylish way to bring in color.

Do you have any wall art DIYs to share with us? We’d love to see them!
