Designed by Italian company Mussi , this chair is more than just a comfy place to sit. Not only does it adapt to your body, Kangura’s base folds out to become a reclining chaise lounge. I’d say this is the perfect napping solution! The removable covers come in any of the Mussi collection fabrics and leathers on an oval steel revolving base.

From the Italian firm Mykonos Design comes the eco-friendly Clock Box , which is exactly as it sounds – a clock in a box. Using a black or white paper wine box to form the structure and to hide the clock fittings, the working clock is like a miniature grandfather clock. Long and narrow, the portable device makes telling time super easy. It comes in either the single version or a dual version so that you can keep track of two different time zones

Ufo is a fun little object from Italian designer and illustrator Luca Cozzi . The multifunctional design not only acts as a bean bag-like place to sit, but it can also be used flat as a comfy place to relax on the floor. It’s made from two triangular pieces of gray felt that zip together to create a three-dimensional form. I love the red that peeks through from the zipper

Young Italian designer Marica Vizzuso has designed B-OK, a space-saving alternative to the usual bookshelf. Vizzuso asks, “Why do you place books in a conventional way when you can have both an amusing and aesthetically interesting alternative?” The shelving system is constructed like a giant tower, yet unfolds into a room divider. Instead of stacking books side-by-side, you pile books on top of one another into a variety of slots. I’m not sure if the books would fall down, but I really like this idea . There’s also something kind of 90s about it – very CD tower-ish that I find a bit nostalgic.

Designer Konstantin Grcic created the Medici Chair for Italian manufacturer Mattiazzi . With both an indoor and an outdoor version available, the low, semi-reclined chair is all about the natural quality and beauty of the wood it’s made from. Built from wood slabs (sliced tree trunks) and full of geometric angles, the chair is made for comfort and relaxation. Outdoor version (first image also) A modern twist on the classic Adirondack chair, the Medici was “inspired by the material, the machinery, and of course, the skill and craftsmanship of the people” he worked with

Italian company Kubedesign enlisted Roberto Giacomucci to design its latest collection called Cardboard Architectures. The entire series is constructed of cardboard, and yet doesn’t look cheap or flimsy at all, in fact it is designed to explore the properties of cardboard as being strong and sturdy. Akira is a workstation shaped like a house. Clorinda is an armchair made to be very comfortable, yet durable too. It is coated with a rigid cover or waterproof film
