The American Standards Lamp by Peter Bristol is a bit of a commentary on some of our current American building techniques. The standard construction materials and methods used in the US are realized in this lamp. “From the 2×4 wall studs to the cheap light switches, it seems that when building a wall, location is really the only decision left to make.

Using scrap materials sourced by the Nucleo Laboratory, the wooden tables and chairs have been assembled in layers to create striated forms. The team paired high-end Ligne Roset furnishings with found construction grade materials for the temporary space, and in less than 48 hours, the installation evolved into life.
