Based on a childhood love of model glider planes, Daniel Hulsbergen created the Vederlicht (Featherlight) out of the same materials as the planes and using the same technique. Not being able to afford the costly hobby as a kid fueled his fascination with it to this day, so turning it into lighting only seemed natural. Just like the glider’s wings, the light is constructed out of Balsawood and Oracover (a heat shrink film), making it extremely lightweight.

Shrinking Jug by Dave Hakkens

Inspired by the fact that porcelain shrinks when you bake it, Eindhoven-based designer Dave Hakkens decided to explore the material with his Shrinking Jug project. What began as a jug made out of various kinds of materials such as pulp, foam, and plaster, ended with a set of thirteen porcelain jugs and one interesting process to get there. The idea From the original jug, he made a mold, filled it with porcelain, and baked it. It shrank 14% in the process

Materials: Liatorp Coffee Table Description: The hack includes the Liatorp coffee table with glass top and pull out drawer that was modified to include an N scale model train set. I didn’t like the white so I painted about 95% of it black. Four coats of satin black furniture paint to be exact. I left the shelf that the drawer slides on unpainted for two reasons

The Angle Chair is intriguing from all angles. Designed by designer and artist Julian Mayor, the Angle Chair is a unique modern seating piece made from recycled honeycomb boards.

Initially, the Angle Chair was created from the map of a person’s seat. The map was then digitized on the computer and sectioned out to create a graphic model. Each Angle Chair is then created from a 3D model and is a numbered edition.
