Materials: Rast, wood, white paint Description: I needed a lot of drawers and the Ikea Rast was the only piece of furniture I could find with the right depth to fit my wall. Then I simply assembled 4 Ikea Rast all together. Placed 2 normally and 2 bottom-up. (reversing it is the hardest part of all, you have to make new holes to put the drawers' guides...) Put real wood on the back and in the drawers to make them less "cheap". Painted all in white.

Materials: Ikea Malm Bedframe, plywood, batting, fabric, staple gun, L brackets, screws Description: I owned the Ikea Malm bedframe and wanted to add height to my headboard. With a quick trip to a local hardware and fabric store, I came home with plywood, L- brackets, screws, a staple gun, batting, and fabric. In a couple hours I completely transformed my bed from blah to BAM! before I first added 18" in height to the headboard by attaching a piece of plywood that matched the width of the Ikea frame. I did this with (3) L-brackets each requiring (2) screws and a scrap piece of plywood using (8) screws.

Materials: Paper Description: It's not really a hack but it's the outcome of a brief I was set at university. I currently study Graphic Design at University College Falmouth and was recently set a brief about Ikea, namely, to promote the new catalogue. I stumbled upon this very site and found the creative ways people used Ikea products.
