Portuguese brand OWN from designer Miguel Flores Soeiro recently exhibited their new Stream Light Collection at Light+Building in Frankfurt this past month. These silhouette lamps are dramatic and feel like a completely new use for traditional neon. They almost feel like light drawings created using long exposure photography.

Portuguese designer Tó Martins is doing something with old washing machine parts you’d never have expected: he’s making lamps out of them . Using old washing machine drums, Martins creates a lamp — called Rewash — whose shade can be customized with just about anything you’d like. So far, he’s made them with fake grass, cork, measuring tapes, steel roses and tons of other materials

Tusse is a Portuguese art and design brand launched at this year’s Salone in Milan that will bring a new flavor to any luxurious interior. This cabinet is like a stained glass window on all four sides, reflecting the light like a gemstone. This irreverant piece is like Gothic-meets-Romantic-meets-a-boulder. This piece is like an ancient jewel box covered in a high-gloss.
