    A recent collaboration between London-based designer Benjamin Hubert and Italian brand Moroso brought about a new compact lounge chair called Talma . Appropriately named Talma (a type of cloak), the chair looks as if it has been wrapped in a padded textile, similar to how a cloak would wrap a body. Hidden under the wrap is a lightweight metal frame that follows the studio’s MO which was to reduce material, weight, and cost during the traditional construction of upholstered chairs

    German design group Voxel Studio created SUESSLICHT , a pendant lamp made of sugar. Each shade is formed in a cone-like shape that resembles a sugarloaf, which is the original form that refined sugar was produced and sold. Partnered with simple hardware and primary colored, textile-covered cords, these lights are pretty sweet (sorry, I couldn’t resist). The shades are made when sugar crystals are mixed with a water base, then pressed and dried, forming the thin, crystalline shell

    Never has knitting looked so cool to me. UK-based textile designer Claire-Anne O’Brien was inspired by the actual knitted stitches themselves and created them in large-scale to produce these stools with a modern twist. The effect invokes depth and texture with an overall playful sensibility

In keeping with the eco-mantra “reduce, re-use, recycle” Relph re-invents discarded furniture and lampshades, transforming them into contemporary treasures with fibers and yarns sourced predominantly from factory surplus stocks. She shares the steps involved in creating the Renee chair from her Retro Rainbow Rejuvenation collection in this month’s Deconstruction

    Description: During renovation of our toilet we decided not to use standard sanitary door and purchased two doors Billy Morebo from Ikea.We decorated them with Ikea textile and added several pictures with the same textile on walls.
