Coca-Cola approached Emeco a few years back to create the 111 Navy Chair , which resembles Emeco’s classic aluminum Navy chair. The chairs are made of Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (rPET), or recycled plastic Coke bottles (111 to be exact!) and a mix of pigment and glass fiber. With these chairs, Coke wanted to prove that things other than more plastic bottles could be made using recycled plastic.
