Pop-up Paper Ikea House

Materials: Images of IKEA products Description: A while ago I designed a pop-up paper house using exclusively Ikea products: all the furniture, obviously, but also all the accessories, sheets, framed artwork, towels, lights, even the floor treatment came from their store. My idea, of course, was to become rich and famous. I would show Ikea my work, they would hail me as a brilliant designer and give me lots of money to design a new house each year, to match their yearly catalogue

OffSeat by Lorenzo Longo and Alessio Romano

OffSeat is a seating collection designed by Lorenzo Longo and Alessio Romano for SpHaus . The collection is being introduced at Salone this year, and is the first furniture collection for the duo. OffSeat is composed of three-dimensional long curves that create a series of concentric and parallel bends. OffSeat disrupts the traditional concept of a quilt as a back-stitched flat textile for one on a three-dimensional axis. The quilted curves cover the polyurethane foam to offer the maximum ergonomic comfort

Science Project Collection by Heather Lins

Heather Lins ( who we wrote about before ) has a new collection of eco-friendly pillows that are based on well-known scientific diagrams. The Science Project Collection is rendered in eco-friendly materials: 100% wool background with Sensuede applique. Sensuede is like ultra-suede but made out of recycled plastic bottles. Each pillow’s title is based on the diagram’s scientific discipline: Anatomy, Geology or Botany. © 2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 2 comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook More Milk: Art Milk | Dog Milk
