I am in love with these new diamond sheets and pillowcases designed by Judy White Studio for Design Within Reach . I can’t help myself – I think the biggest question is which color to choose? A DWR exclusive, these 200-thread-count Egyptian long-staple cotton percale sheets would add a more exciting vibe to my super boring beige bedroom

I’m a big fan of Brendan Ravenhill , but I realized I hadn’t featured his beautiful Cord lighting series before. He’s just released two new pieces in the collection, a 3-arm pendant and a sconce, but here’s a look at all of them in their stunning glory.

If you find yourself living away from your loved ones, the Good Night Lamp might be a way to bridge the gap. The series of house-shaped lamps are connected via the internet and they let you send or receive a signal (by the house being lit) from the people most important to you.

British designer Ella Doran creates all types of colorful home accessories with her award-winning surface designs and has now expanded her repertoire into other, non-print based mediums, like her latest, the Geo Carved Rug for WovenGround . Shadows and textures are established due to the carved out relief work of the rug. Made from New Zealand wool, the hand tufted, three dimensional rug makes you want to reach out and touch it to feel the geometric surface texture. Geo is available in cream, blue, and grey

Designer Santiago Sevillano has developed the Looker desktop lamp for Mantra that’s fully adjustable to your needs. Complete with several knobs that allow for manual tweaks, the lamp will be the perfect working light for those late night cram sessions at your desk. It comes in either a wood and white version with a Scandinavian feel or a white metal finish with a pop of color (pistachio or strawberry) for accents. Event planner and tastemaker Bryan Rafanelli hails from a party-loving family from Rhode Island. He founded his operation, Rafanelli Events , in Boston in 1996, and soon became the darling of the Boston party throwing set. (Well-deserved, I might add; I’ve been to several of his events). He’s since handled Chelsea Clinton’s wedding (imagine falling short for the mother-of that bride?) and a Washington inauguration bash for Obama.

Polish designer Marta Pietrusiak created myKitty to help cat owners with modern taste incorporate attractive cat beds and scratchers into their homes without it being an eyesore. Made of corrugated cardboard made into modern, curvy shapes, these beds will instantly attract your cat – plus, they’ll hold up. There are two versions – LUI and VIGO – both available in either white and natural color cardboard or brown. I love the one with the cutouts – your cat can snooze on top and crawl through, too.

Industrial designer Hlynur Atlason teamed up with Artecnica to develop Yorky, a quirky, animal-like lamp that can be placed in a variety of different positions. Let it sit up on its “hind legs” and shine to the ceiling or tilt Yorky over for more focused task lighting. You can even hang him on the wall from his “leash.” Yorky is made of flexible silicone in three fun colors: white, yellow and pink, and its wide collar can accommodate numerous types of bulbs. Yorky is available on artecnica.com . Share This: Twitter | Facebook | Discover more great design by following Design Milk on Twitter and Facebook .

A few favorites from Ligne Roset’s new collection include a few wall-mounted storage options and an interesting felt pouf. We’re kind of jazzed about them. Lace footstool by Benjamin Graindorge A pouf with a very original and amazing personality. Can act as a footrest, extra seat or even to hold a tray. Lace is inspired by the Japanese wrappings as evidenced by the rope threaded around the base
