It was absolutely love at first sight for me when I saw the beautiful Eden Coffee Table. What’s not to love about it? Low profile, full of texture and a glamorous metallic finish – I’ll take it!
The Eden is offered as a set of two center tables and in a side table as well, with many finish options also offered. The structure of it is made from mahogany and covered with polished brass, and then the top is completely engraved to resemble a tree. This modern coffee table is made by Boca do Lobo.
What do you think of this coffee table??

This is the time of year where everyone talks about pumpkins and butternut squash, I know. But please excuse me while I share this quick and easy recipe I made last night! I had some butternut squash left over so I figured I’d make a quick and easy soup before it went bad. Along with a gala apple, I roasted the squash in the oven for about 45 minutes – and my whole house smelled like Fall deliciousness. I was too lazy to take real photos, so I all have is this Instagram!
Anyway, although it’s a bit haphazard, here’s the recipe:
Butternut Squash & Apple Soup
3 cups of diced butternut squash
1 apple, diced (I used Gala)
Milk/Water/Chicken Broth
Gorgonzola
Croutons
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Toss butternut squash and apple with a bit of olive and lay flat on baking tray. Roast until soft, about 45 minutes. Once out of the oven, transfer the apple and squash to a bowl and puree. Add milk, water or chicken broth until you reach your desired consistency. [I used a combo of milk and water, only because I didn't have chicken broth on hand!]
Garnish with a few sprinkles of gorgonzola and croutons, and serve!

I am absolutely drooling over this amazingly gorgeous bedroom. At first, it was just the headboard that lured me in. But take a look at the details – from the studded walls to the dark mirrored nightstands to that lovely little nook in the corner.
I just had to look again – I forgot about the wallpaper above the studded panels, the amazing chandelier, the peacock blue dresser with the bright art.
Anyway, this bedroom is from the California Home and Design’s 2012 Small Space, Big Style LA Showcase. The space was designed by a group of seven designers, each with their own designated areas. The bedroom that we are oogling over was designed by Brian Patrick Flynn.
What is your favorite part of this beautiful blue bedroom?

Macaroni and cheese is one of my all time favorite foods. I haven’t made it yet since the weather has cooled down, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been dreaming of it! So today when browsing through Pinterest, I found a mac and cheese recipe with butternut squash and bacon – oh my god, I had to share!
Most of the time when I make mac and cheese, that’s our main dish. But this recipe looks a little bit heavier than most, so I think it would be a great side dish with a light chicken or fish recipe – or even this Autumn Chopped Salad I also found while food searching.
All I know is that butternut squash plus bacon plus bread plus macaroni and cheese sounds like heavenly comfort food. I’ll probably have a fat attack after, but sometimes those are good for you, right?!
Do you have any Fall comfort food recipes you’ve recently discovered??

Shower curtains are a fun way to decorate your bathroom, don’t get me wrong – I am obsessed with mine! But, there’s something about a shower with glass doors that is oh-so sleek and sophisticated.
A glass shower door provides a clean look, as long as you stay up to speed with one of those swiper things. I would take one of those over a mildewy shower curtain liner any day! I had no idea that these glass doors are also referred to as shower enclosures – did you? I’m glad I do in case I have an opportunity to install one in the future! If you require strong and durable shower enclosure, as most people probably do, there are plenty of options that fit the bill and are chic and stylish as well.
What do you think about glass shower enclosures?

It’s Monday, the weather is crappy and I’m exhausted after a long but amazing weekend. Is anyone else having a blah day? I’m having trouble staying motivated today, so I thought some glamourous rooms would help me out.
The yellow and gold, lucite and fur and gold stenciled bathroom each provide some nice eye candy to liven up my day a bit. I surely wouldn’t mind being a part of these three gorgeous spaces right now – how about you??
How do you brighten up a blah day?

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that we were redoing our floors, as I was searching for inspiration as to which finish we would choose. We just did our living room, because our precious little puppy had stained the floors with a few pee accidents. To avoid cutting and replacing the sections of the wood that was stained, our floor guy told us that if we chose a darker finish, it would be more cost efficient as it would just cover the stains right up.
So, that’s what we did! The first picture is a bad picture of the walls, as they are the same color as the walls in the second picture, but the floors really were that orangey. I never had a problem with the color, but now that they are that caramelly brown on the bottom – I am absolutely in love. They look even better in person – it is so hard to capture true colors on camera, as you probably know!
As the floor guy had told us, the stains were covered up and you can’t even see them! It only took about two days for the guys to be finished and it was well worth it.
What do you think of our new floors?
