A white headboard can really brighten up a bedroom, and adds texture when it is tufted as these two headboards above. I love tufted headboards as it is, but there’s something bright and fresh about them in white.
Yet, these two white tufted headboards have two very different looks. The first headboard is straight and simple, accessorized with white modern decor.
The second headboard is a bit more eclectic, with a unique shape that is complemented by Asian-inspired decor.
So, if you absolutely had to choose between these two white tufted headboards – which would you rather?

I am constantly on the hunt for a better way to store my jewelry. I’ve had DIY holders on my list forever and just haven’t gotten around to it, but, luckily I just stumbled across the Bling Box and I’m sold.
Made of recycled MDF, there are two color options available, with the option to change the aluminum front cover. Several hooks with adorable names are included for various types of jewelry – and there’s a mirror on the interior door! Ladies – this is a great thing. Guys – this is a great gift for your ladies!
What do you guys think of the Bling Box?

This past weekend was spent with my fiance and his family up in Lake George, NY. The view is unbelievable and the weather was absolutely gorgeous – my sunburned face can attest to that!
Anyway, while we were cruising on the jetskis checking out the gorgeous houses, I started thinking about my dream lake house and how it would be much more modern than a lot of the houses up there. While some of them are more contemporary, I think most of the houses up there are more traditional and mountain-looking. [If that makes sense!]
Like the modern lake houses above, I would want a lake house with lots of windows so that the spectacular view that comes with living on a lake could be seen from any room from any angle. I also love when the architecture provides plenty of sitting space for everyone’s viewing pleasure. There’s something wonderful about staring out onto a lake all day!
Do you ever dream about living on water? What would your dream house there look like?

My mom is a big fan of Barefoot Contessa and her crisp has always been one of my favorites. It’s the perfect dessert that can be made ahead of time and then thrown in the oven before serving.
The past few times I’ve been making the recipe, I’ve used Ina Garten’s recipe for Peach and Raspberry Crisp, but I don’t always use peaches and raspberries; I’ll switch out the raspberries for blueberries or blackberries. Whichever fruits you choose to use, this is definitely a recipe to keep on your radar!
Do you have a favorite crisp or crumble recipe?

4 – I’m not typically a fan of backpacks, but this modern design may change my opinion!
5 – How resourceful and stylish are these dual-purpose wine glasses?
6 – What are you looking forward to watch on the Olympics?

While browsing around Pinterest, I saw the yellow washer and dryer set and wondered if anyone else had pinned their painted washer/dryer, and of course they had! Nowadays, the different companies offer so many color options – but none with designs, so it’s kind of interesting – or pinteresting! – to see how people have gotten creative.
If I painted my washer and dryer, I would go for a hot pink or a deep teal – something that isn’t offered by manufacturers. I can’t say that I’d go for one of these designs – but you never know!
What about you – would you consider painting your washer and dryer? What design would you choose?

I’m loving the look of these faceted pendant lamps – aren’t you?
Shown on and off above, they have the perfect dimensional look that would work alone or in a cluster of several lamps. These Aspect Pendant Lamps are made of translucent porcelain that gives off a nice warm glow and sealed in a white glaze for a modern style.
These modern pendant lamps are designed by Brian Schmitt and won the 2012 Dwell on Design award for Best Lighting.
What do you think of this modern lighting?

The past few days have been spent visiting with relatives, and the subject of home decor came up. This led to the talk of history repeating itself, with my mom and aunt discussing how furniture trends from when they were younger have been coming back.
And one of those they mentioned was the Butterfly Chair, so I thought why not look around and see how it’s being used? I love that it works both indoors and outdoors, in canvas, cowhide or with a sheepskin. It’s no wonder that such a chair has made it back – in my opinion, at least.
What do you think about the Butterfly Chair? Do you agree that certain trends are back more than ever?

We have blah and boring concrete floors in our basement that are yearning for a thick coat [or two] of gorgeous glossy paint.
I’m loving the looks of these gray and white concrete floors above. Each room has a nice brightness with the choice of wall colors in combination with the gloss of the painted concrete.
I’m obviously loving this look – what about you? Would you go for glossy painted concrete floors? Matte? Or something completely different?

Happy Friday! Hope you have a lovely weekend full of Summer fun ahead.
Here’s the Weekly Six for the week ending July 20:
1 – Loving this designer profile on Sam Allen, an interior designer I’ve never heard of before. Always great to learn of new designers!
2 – These vases are fabulous – I would love to have them at my wedding!
3 – A bedazzled bottle of booze is a fun gift idea – if you have the time to deck it out!
4 – I need this chair in my life.
5 – Not such a big fan of fennel, but I’ll eat anything with goat cheese, which is why I’m interested in trying this pizza.
6 – A bright neon modern bike rack – can’t go wrong with that!
