Liberty: Britain Can (Still) Make It

Sponsored by Liberty, Britain Can (Still) Make It is an exhibition of furniture, lighting, ceramics and textiles entirely designed and produced in the United Kingdom. Inspired by a show called Britain Can Make It that took place at the Victoria & Albert Museum in 1964 to demonstrate advances in the British design industry, today’s collection shows that U.K. design and craftsmanship is still going strong forty years later. Featured are designers and studios such as Matthew Hilton, Thelermont Hupton, Anglepoise, Timorous Beasties and People Will Always Need Plates, among many others.
