Metro is a seating collection designed by Italian designer Luca Nichetto for Italian company Emmegi . I’m drawn to the two tones of the seat – usually I am not a big fan of two-tone seating but this is appealing. In Italian, a metro is a measuring stick, and the Metro sofa embodies this idea of measurement through the multiple modules – defined by color. Today’s recipes to keep on your radar are all about pasta – in case you hadn’t noticed! I turned to Pinterest to start scoping out some pasta recipes, but there were far too many that looked far too delicious. So, I decided to include four of my absolute favorites. When I crave pasta, these four recipes are always what I crave.
1) Pasta all’Amatriciana
2) Pesto Pasta
3) Summer Pasta
4) Pasta with Vodka Sauce
Aside from the vodka sauce, these pastas are quick and easy to make. The recipe listed here is rather quick, but the one I like to make typically takes a few hours.
What is your favorite pasta recipe to make?

Reuse your old water bottles for something beautiful… The Primavera vase is just a silhouette that fits a standard water bottle instead of a glass vase to hold a single flower. DEDE DextrousDesign is the Athens, Greece-based industrial design team of Aliki Rovithi and Foant Asour. The duo’s unorthodox and innovative thinking led to the creation of The Wedding Stool . Their idea to join industrial metal and warm wood was inspired by the institution of marriage and to bring the pieces together in, as they say, “holy matrimony.” The easily removable metal piece acts as a carrying handle and can be customized in your favorite color. Placard&Nous is a French brand that makes trompe l’oeil decals for appliances and cabinetry. They made me smile. They are currently only made for European-sized appliances, but hopefully there will soon be US sizes available. Parisian designer Ionna Vautrin ‘s products are as cute as she is. I was lucky enough to spend two days with the designer in Venice last month, while visiting the corporate headquarters of lighting company Foscarini . Vautrin has designed two lamps for them (so far), including the best-selling Binic , which she named after a lighthouse in Brittany where she grew up

Nucleo is presenting the Petroglyph collection in the first edition of PAD New York, through Gallerie Secondome. Using scrap materials sourced by the Nucleo Laboratory, the wooden tables and chairs have been assembled in layers to create striated forms. Additional timber boards are used to create screenprints with quotes inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky – celebrating beauty as the only form of salvation. “Salvation in a double sense, the message hidden inside, the soul, and in the re-used material, the body, visible to all.” The exhibition will run November 11-14, 2011.
