Kartell by Laufen: Bathroom Collection by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba

Italian brand Kartell , well-known for their use of plastic materials, and Laufen , legendary Swiss makers of ceramic bathroom fixtures, joined forces to bring a new type of collection to the bathroom that they call Kartell by Laufen . At the design helm were Ludovica + Roberto Palomba who developed an “interconnected ecosystem where washbasins, sanitaryware, faucets, units, shower bases, bathtubs, lights and accessories coexist with the maximum flexibility, changing their appearance like chameleons to meet the taste requirements of all.” Mixing ceramic items with their rigid lines along with the lightness and transparent qualities of the plastic elements, creates a striking balance of bathroom innovation. Years of research went into the development of the collection, including the introduction of SaphirKeramik, a new, lightweight material that allows for fixtures to be super thin and weighing half that of normal ceramics.

Faktum in the bathroom? Yes you can!

Materials: Faktum, Abstrakt, Hollviken Description: My problem was that I like the Hollviken bathtub, but I personally think that most of the Ikea bathroom furniture aestetically sucks. At the same time, I also like the slickness of the Abstrakt series. So I took a 80cm wide Hollviken and I mounted it on a 80cm faktum base cabinet designed to resist the weight of a ceramic sink.

Cup

Cup is a tasteful basin sink designed by Italian company Art Ceram. Art Ceram was founded in 1987 and provides a full collection of bathroom furnishings, from sinks and toliets to towel racks and shower plates.

Inspired by the shape of a coffee cup, the Cup is a modern washbasin with a interesting design not typically found in the bathroom. It is available in all white or in a black exterior with a white interior. As shown in the first image above, the loop that represents the handle of the cup is a handy place to hang a towel.

Cup is a contemporary sink with minimalistic appeal. It has a deep basin and a spot for tolietries or soap on the top. With clean lines and sleek colors, the Cup is a great choice for the modern bathroom. Check out Art Ceram’s website for more contemporary bathroom furnishings.

Can sloppy look neat?

Clothes Stand

This may be one of the simplest designs I’ve featured here, but I think it’s pretty genius.  The truth is that your favorite blogger is a slob – ok let me explain.  I clean like a fiend I mean you could probably eat of my bathroom floor (disclaimer – eww I would never actually do that no matter how clean but you get the idea), but for some reason when it comes to putting things away my brain just can’t handle it.  I throw my dirty clothes into piles and one look and my desk at work and you can tell what I’ve had to drink all week.  That’s why this is so genius to me, it makes messy organized.  You can fling your clothes onto it, yet is still looks somewhat organized. You can hang clean clothes, dirty clothes, laundry bags, jackets, whatever. Nice. More from designer Therese Glimskar here.
