These bread furnishings by Enoc Armengol make me so hungry. The concept behind them is that they can be a part of the living process because they can be eaten. In addition, they reflect the production process of certain non-edible objects: fast and having a short life before they become obsolete. I think they definitely beat candy necklaces.

This chair by designers Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan of Miso Soup Design is constructed out of eco-resin and CNC router. There is no production waste and no hardware is required to assemble the piece, which is always good news for people who hate to assemble furniture. via Designspotter ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Furniture – Design Milk – Facebook – Numerical control – Home

Clear, kiln-formed glass was used to create the three hundred and eighty six fish in this lovely hanging lighting fixture by Scabetti . The structure of the piece resembles that of a school of fish swimming together in a whirlwind formation.

This low-process, environmentally friendly desk lamp designed by Dana Cannam consists of a solid maple base, LED strip, wire, and free-moving cantilevered arm. The objective was to create a design object that uses the functionality of an unfinished hardwood. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Design – Design Milk – Facebook – Light fixture – Light-emitting diode

This former washing machine drum is now a lovely lamp from Reestore . It produces an ambient light from the top and shoots beams of light from the holes in its body. A product like this is a great example of a recycled object that becomes a beautiful solution for a variety of spaces. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 2 comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Washing machine – Facebook – Design Milk – Home – Appliances

The idea behind this calendar is to turn the process of each passing day into something spectacular. By burning each match that represents each day, it turns into a major event. It reminds me of blowing birthday candles, with each candle representing each year that the birthday celebrant has lived. via OK Great ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Art , Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Facebook – Design Milk – Energy – Home and Garden – Shopping
