Founded by product and furniture designers Robbert Ramaekers and Rogier Rensen, Belgian company MaaK creates modern furnishings that span classification. Some of their products feel mid-century, some feel ultramodern and others are more Scandinavian.

Christopher White of Revitalized Artistry is currently in school but on the side he specializes in taking old mid-century furniture and giving it a second chance. I love the stain and color choices that he’s used for these pieces. Can you believe those are the original geometric pulls? I love these new kitchen pieces by McGuire for Kohler Interiors . The designs are so simple and would look stunning in a mid-century home. I really like the table base above, which also comes in a slew of rattan finishes. These pieces ain’t cheap, but they’ll last a lifetime (or more). ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook More Milk: Art Milk | Dog Milk

Mid-century pottery brand Heath Ceramics is back with a new summer 2010 collection sure to bring a pop of color to your table. Following Heath’s long tradition of hand-dipped experimental and unique glazes, this collection consists of four new pieces and items from the company’s classic line. The whole collection includes a pitcher, deep serving bowl, two platters, and a set of vases. Since this year is supposed to be the year of turquoise, Heath’s brought together the colors of the beach: aqua, yellow, and “ocean pacific,” perfect for summer.
