Nick Johnson, owner of new Seattle-based design company Johnson House Design , has released his first product: Flat Clock . The clock is a customizable modern wall clock that’s created completely out of your own custom specifications using the Flat Clock interactive website. Be prepared to spend some time on FlatClock.com making a ton of fun designs – I know I just wasted at least an hour. The first step is to log on to the website and “build your clock”: Then you can customize a ton of features including clock hand style and length, back color, and pattern. Once you’ve chosen your pattern, you can skew and randomize it, making it completely custom

Materials: Ikea Bravur wall clock, small old round table, black lacquer, adhesive, saw, brush Description: I became fascinated with the “DIY” madness. For a long time I wasn’t interested in the Do It Yourself attitude, I never thought something could be done using old furniture or knick-knacks. I was only interested in the things of design

This was a must-share. Although more of a joke than anything else, this alarm clock design shreds your cash if you don’t get out of bed. Talk about motivation. Destroying money on purpose is a crime in the US, so you better get that a$$ out of bed before you go broke and, on top of that, get fined by the government! via Freshome and Mashable Share This: Twitter | Facebook | Discover more great design by following Design Milk on Twitter and Facebook .

As the domino is a common, well-known item, the Domino Clock “repurposes an icon.”
A set of three large dominoes, the Domino Clock tells the time with its “dots” that flip in a fun time-telling manner. Between the three dominoes, one is the hour while the second two provide the minutes.

Designed by Carbon Design, a product development consultancy, the Domino Clock has unique and thorough engineering that uses a magnetic actuator to flip the dots. The Domino Clock can stand free or be hung on the wall.

The Parallel of Time clock by John Leung and Clarke Hopkins Clarke Architects is a series of clocks of the same time and join together to create interconnected parallelograms, thus the clock’s name. From the designers: “Time is parallel. The speed of time (on earth) is indubitable but everyone’s perception of the speed is somehow different. Using multiple clocks and cables to create a number of parallelograms, a design is generated: The Parallel of Time.

You know I have mixed feelings about Etsy, but cool finds like this definitely ad some pros to my list. This cool, retro clock is made from a recycled ADS console record player and an epic records 78 titled “It’s a Sin to Tell a lie”. A cool way to brings records and record players back in a way that’s still functional in your all iPod home!
