Pink Perfection

pink-collage

A home tour on Apartment Therapy yesterday featured a hot pink dining room that inspired this roundup. The pink was bold, bright and just all around wonderful. Plus, I just parted with some pink walls of my own, so I could be missing them a bit!

Pink is one of my favorite colors and can really make a statement in a home. Do you have any daring pink pieces in your home?

Catworks

I first spotted Czech Republic company Catworks on Moderncat . The designs are made in the shape of letters of the alphabet A, C, G, M, O, R, S and T and come in nine fun colors: beige, yellow, orange, red, green, blue, turquoise, gray, and brown. These would complement Roeland Otten’s ABChairs very nicely

Paper Pots

Since the Winter season brings a lot of sniffles, why not put tissues on display without sacrificing style? Paper Pots allow you to do just that.

Made of durable ABS, the Paper Pot enables you to store tissues in a fashionable way. As shown below, Paper Pots are available in a variety of bright, glossy colors, or in a matte black. To get creative, the Paper Pots work interchangeably, so you can buy two different colors and switch the tops to have mis-matched pots.

Paper Pots are available at MollaSpace for $40 each, plus shipping. They can also be used for toliet paper, if you aren’t a big tissue person!

Power Shoulder Chair

Inspired by the stylish shoulder pad look of the 80s and 90s, designer Park Jongho designed the Power Shoulder Chair to resemble the look as it begins to make a comeback in modern fashion. Made of galvanized steel, the Power Shoulder represents the shoulder pad style with the alternating proportions between its long legs and short seat back.

To create the Power Shoulder Chair, the steel planes are cleaved and then divided into smaller planes. The angles of the steel enable the chair to present sharp, three-dimensional angles. As seen in the images, the Power Shoulder Chair is made in a variety of colors.

Pixelated

Inspired by pixelated images (who would have thought?!) the Zero PXL Lamp Series is unique in its idea and bold in its design. Designer Frederik Mattson took the form of the traditional lamp and cut it up into rings, disassembled it, and then reassembled it to create the final design you see here. Each features a combination of vibrant colors that are sure to get plenty of attention.

Vermelha Chair Special Edition by Edra

This chair is The Italian Pride Edition of the Campana brothers Vermelha chair. Five hundred meters of acrylic and cotton rope were weaved together to create this piece, which includes the three colors of Italy’s national flag. Personally, it reminds me of extra thick udon noodles gathered in various colors. http://www.edra.com via MoCo Loco

Gaming Controllers For Your Tree

controller-ornaments

I’m not a huge fan of video games, but I am a huge fan of Christmas.  These caught my eye not only because they are an unusual addition to the tree, but because plenty of my friends are into gaming and would probably love these.  Sold as a set of 7 (including the traditional NES controller and more current additions like the Wii and Playstation) and in your choice of several colors, this set of ornaments comes in at a pretty reasonable $25. Check it out here.
