Going off of yesterday’s post, I created a post using one of the color schemes: purple, peacock blue and fuchsia.
It’s definitely a bold scheme, and I wouldn’t necessarily decorate a room with these exact items, but I like it as a way to get a feel for how the colors flow together. I’m especially loving that chevron rug – it would look great under that fuchsia chair!
What do you think of this of color scheme?

The Japan Collection rugs designed by Enrique Eguino for Alfombras Veo Veo are inspired by Japanese locations, culture, and tradition. They pixelate an image and create these fun rugs that at first glance look like they are designed with random colors. Bodum’s new BISTRO Pour Over Coffee Machine is an electric drip machine that’s gotten an overhaul. It’s such an obvious idea, we can’t believe they didn’t think of it sooner. The coffee drips into an insulated thermos instead of a plain old glass pot, so coffee will actually stay hot. The inner workings have improved too. Water heats up close to a boil, and is carried to the coffee grounds via an insulated pipe.

Italian lighting company Foscarini has recently introduced a new pendant light, the Planet Lamp, designed by Italian design studio Changedesign . Planet is a spherical textile lamp inspired by a study commissioned by NASA (carried out by Dainese in partnership with MIT) on high performance “intelligent” clothing worn by astronauts. Stitching applied to the surface of a spacesuit material made it adhere to the body, stopping it from expanding in the absence of gravity, yet was flexible for body movement. A similar idea involving thread treated at high temperature was developed by Foscarini in collaboration with Changedesign to develop the form of Planet so that it hardens into an exoskeleton to support the lamp’s shape.
