Materials: Engan 2 drawer 2 door, catbox, motion sensitive light
Description: I followed the basic instructions but skipped the part about the drawers instead opting to use one of the side panels from a drawer to join the two drawer fronts together. Once attached using the 2 provided L bracket that were supplied + 1 other larger one I had bought at Ikea as well I mounted the drawer fronts to the unit.
With all parts together I put the back on but only nailed the top part down to the middle then used a jig saw to trim off the bottom half, then jigged out the cat door oh so very carefully.
The entry hole is protected around the edges with Ikea cable tube held on with the remaining nails from the backing. The bottom where the box is sitting on is one of the drawer bottoms.
Last steps were to add in a motion sensitive light and I added 2 more L brackets with another drawer side to act as a brace so the box won’t shift when in use. The concern was the cat could potentially trap himself in side.

Materials: Ikea ODDA night stand
Description: Being a recent college graduate without a job, sometimes you have to be creative. I had two Ikea night stands, which I turned into rack mounts for my audio gear. I popped off the four wheels. It just so happens that the width of the night stand is exactly the same width needed for a rack for audio equipment. All I had to do was drill holes on either side of the stand and then slip the racks right in. Hope you enjoy!

The movie Avatar has gotten a lot of attention this year, and everywhere you went someone seemed to be talking about it. One place I didn’t expect Avatar to have a strong influence, though, was in the furniture sector. Well, turns out Avatar has made its mark here too.
While it beginnings might be kind of odd, this Atan is actually a really cool looking lamp. It features a modular design with one or three fixtures, and additional modules can easily be added by plugging into an empty socket on the base. The more modules you add, the brighter Atan gets. Plugs and sockets are perfectly fitted to create a solid connection, and the plugs can be easily released by pressing the two buttons on their sides simultaneously.
The Atan’s fixtures are attached to the lamp’s arm with flexible necks. The fixture itself is formed by wrapping a LED light set along a twisted wire. See more from Atan’s designer Anton Kozhevnikov here.

NeoCon, Designer Pages and MMPI

Anneau is a chair designed by Pierre Paulin from the 2010 Ligne Roset collection. It combines a simple ring base and a seat that seems to be floating. Anneau is evocative of Paulin’s “fauteuil 780,” also known as “Concorde.” One of his last creations, Anneau redefines the concept of the traditional lounge chair. The webbed suspension on the seat and back lie above a sculptural and sensual cast aluminum base, linked only by a doubled steel ring, resulting in a much lighter, almost ethereal design.
