With so many different style influences, the Creator Table is really one-of-a-kind. These tables are the work of Magnus Sanglid, a furniture product designer with an entire website full of stuff worth checking out.
According to Sanglid this design is “a unique combination of mid-European cultural inheritance where ornaments have been the ruling style for furniture’s throughout the 19th century and tight Scandinavian design traditions from the 20th century.” Captivating and functional, these tables offer strong design definitely worth taking a closer look at here.

It’s a bench but Melanie makes it do double (and triple) duty as a coffee table and some times computer table. I like that the “tables” are removable and can be repositioned to where you want them to be. This is an Ikea hack I made some time ago.

I love David Bromstad and I don’t try to hide it. He’s fabulous. Not only did he win the first ever HGTV’s Design Star challenge, but he’s a very talented artist, too. Oh, and his video commentary on the Design Star episodes is hilar. he now has his own TV show on HGTV called Color Splash

Cave Lion fashions a fantastic Billy Cat climbing shelf. It looks pretty easy to do too. Looks fun! “I made an Ikea hack of my own a few weeks ago and thought you’d like to share it too. The shelf is made from a 40cm wide Billy shelf and it cost only 15€ (the shelf was a bit damaged at the store but it suited our purpose fine) and 5€ for the carpet (so that it’s not slippery)

OMNI+ is a brand new home theater/entertainment furniture company that has just created its first series of TV stands. In addition to working with design great Karim Rashid, the design team includes Zach Eyman, Lew Gallo, and Mike Murphy. I’m glad to see this type of furniture being designed because it’s very hard to find a good TV stand at a price point between IKEA and DWR. What do you guys put your TVs on? ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook More Milk: Art Milk | Dog Milk

Nothing like an oversized wig stand-turned-sofa to put you in a good mood on a Friday afternoon, right? Designed by Gert Vanhoeven, this sofa is an homage to Andy Warhol (can you see the resemblance?) made from German sheepskin. I’m not quite sure how you would lounge on this, but I’m sure you can come up with some very creative positions. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Art , Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook More Milk: Art Milk | Dog Milk
