Petals

petals-lamp

What a stunning lamp!  This piece instantly caught my eye, and the more I found out about it the more I liked it.  First, it’s called Petals and designed by Gülnur Özdaglar. Second, and truly impressive I have to say, the round clear “petals” you see are actually made from used soda bottles. The petal like structures within the circles are made from cutting, heating, and hand drawing. Absolutely amazing.  See more from the talented designer here.

After digging out of a foot of snow this morning, the question everyone seems to be asking today is “is it summer yet?!”  So naturally when I came upon these awesome lounges from Tucci I felt the need to share them with you.  I like pretty much anything summer related, but there’s no denying the style and luxurious appeal of these lounges.  I mean who wouldn’t want to be sitting there right now!

Transparency

arch-digest

Today, I’ve decided to share three that are not only my favorites, but also illustrate transparent furniture’s impressive range. Here we see it outside, which is probably its most expected use, in a serene bedroom, and probably most unexpected as part of an elegant table setting (where it also totally works!). Head over to Arch Digest to learn more and to see more fabulous uses of transparent furniture.
