Swedish design student, Måns Salomonsen, created two pieces of furniture with a unique approach. His first project, a bar table (pictured above), includes a series of metal bars that twist and support the top while providing foot rests. The round tabletop is made out of plastic filled aluminum foam, giving the surface an interesting speckled appearance. If someone can take an old pair of jeans and edit it to become a new bag, the same approach could be used for furniture

I know what’s on my wishlist this holiday season. This table lamp by Verner Panton originally launched in 1972, and has been reissued for Louis Poulsen and available at The Lollipop Shoppe.
