When looking for contemporary bedroom furniture, I was looking for sleek lines and neat cuts. I am not much of a fan for ornate designs and frivolities. I bought this design to furnish my bedroom. Now I have a classy mahogany platform bedroom that is trendy and has a splendid design despite being without any ornate features. The stainless steel accents add to the glamour of this furniture set. Plain wood might have looked a little drab, but the stainless steel accents solve this problem. The rich mahogany color adds a warm touch to the bedroom so that it does not look cold and sterile with the steel. To complete the picture of classy modern living, the furniture set has a high gloss finish and finished with real wood veneers.
Although we have a King size bed with this set, the set is also available in Queen Size beds. Due to their size, Queen Size beds are cheaper too. You can also add a matching chest and armoire with this set, which we skipped because we have limited space in the room, and we already had to fit in the King size bed as well. In addition, we have built in storage in the room. I love the dresser and the mirror that came with this set. The mirror complements the overall design very well especially with the steel accents and gives the room an air of more space somehow, maybe because of the minimalism of its design. The earthy tones of the set give a very relaxed look to our bedroom. We have put some vases of artificial flowers on the dresser that give even more life to this beautiful bedroom set. We have also painted our walls a beige and coffee color. I am living my dream!

Based in Warsaw, Agnieszka Lasota has been working a fascinating project called Furniture with Memory where she takes well-worn old furniture and encases it in electro-polarized glass and then projects digitized images of what it would have looked like when it was new, in pristine condition, and being enjoyed. Uniting past with present is something Lasota does well; the
Wreath Project involves a traditional celebratory wreath being used as a lampshade. This Polish designer does not set out to marry art with design on her journey to create and shies away from too much definition. She leaves it to the viewer or user to take away what is important.
