You might know Chuck Anderson better as NoPattern , where galactic rainbows and vibrant explosions of movement rule. Turnstone recently gave Chuck a week to make a piece of art with their doodle-friendly Paper Table, and the result is a circular bubbly cloud-like world of color. Now, you can buy Chuck’s special edition artwork bundled with Turnstone’s Paper Table . The Electrolux Design Lab began in 2003 as an annual competition for all students of industrial design to develop future household appliance ideas. Celebrating their 10th year, Electrolux Design Lab asked the students to design concepts that reflect more of a sensory experience and that they did. Narrowed down from 1,200 entries, these ten top-notch designs were chosen as the finalists. Design Milk heads to Milan later this month for the final event in which one lucky design will win a six-month paid internship with Electrolux! Which one would you choose as the winner?

Happy Friday!
I can’t believe it’s already Friday, and already October. It seems the weeks go by faster and faster as each one passes. But, hey, I’m not complaining that the weekend is here! Hope you have something fun planned! Here is this week’s weekly six:
1 – Glitter + Champagne = two of my favorite things!
2 – This is the perfect shade of gray.
3 – A handful of delicious pizza recipes – always easy and delicious!
4 – Love this rug from new store Lulu & Georgia.
5 – A magnetic coffee table that can be made into whatever your heart desires.
6 – Pitch Perfect is a must-see. Seriously.

Hocky is not your average seating collection – it’s ridiculously smart. Designed by Marcin Wielgosz of Merely , Hocky is made of various sized segments of sofas and chairs with integrated tables that you can pick and choose to form the configuration you want. The movable wood tables can act as armrests, end tables, workstations, or TV dinner trays (remember those?)

These inventive chairs were featured on Contemporist the other day and I love their simplicity that is enhanced by the fun intertwined legs.
Designed by Kan and Lau Designs, each chair has a different finish but they complement one another. These chairs would be perfect in a hallway or even at the end of a dining table for a sweet couple that likes to eat dinner sitting next to each other!
What do you think of the Intertwined Chairs?

UK-based designer and craftsman Sam Scott uses the scraps that pile up in the corner of an East London workshop to create surprisingly modern and artistic furniture. Working with Tim Greany and Dom Shanks as Constructive and Co., Sam considers his work like the LEGO of the cabinet-making world – piecing wood together to build creative and – at time – eye-popping creations. He will be showing his work at Canary Wharf in a new exhibition that runs through mid-November. What: Pieces Together: Carol McNicoll Ceramics Sam Scott Furniture When: September 24, 2012 – November 16, 2012 Where: Lobby, One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, E14 5AB Share This: Twitter | Facebook | Discover more great design by following Design Milk on Twitter and Facebook

Does anyone else love mirrored furniture as much as I do? I just can’t enough! I wonder what my house would look like if almost every piece was mirrored!
Anyway, for today I’ll stick to mirrored nightstands. I have them in my bedroom, and last night when I couldn’t sleep, I was just staring at the one next to my bed and admiring it’s beauty. I tried to take a picture of one but it didn’t come out good. I just love the hint of glamour that mirrored furniture adds to a room – and surprisingly they aren’t too bad to keep clean.
What do you think of these mirrored nightstands? Do you like the effect they add to these bedrooms?
