A lot of times when you hear the word marble you think of huge, chunky slabs that are used in kitchens and bathrooms, and sometimes furniture. I don’t know about you, but I’m totally intrigued by this space. With all of the different flowery and traditional patterns going on, it doesn’t favor the modern side, but there are definitely some prominent elements that do. For example, the shelves and the bright clean colors appear modern to me. And then of course you have the Saarinen chairs and table. But how about that sofa in the living room? The structure is quite contemporary, but the upholstery is not.
So to me, it feels like modern granny chic [I think I just like saying that]. Personally, I love the look of the kitchen because it is more modern than anything else in the space and it is surprising with all of the patterns and trinkets. The living room, however, I could do without.

I’m moving to the French Riviera…who’s coming with me?! Of course, I’m kidding. But I sure wish I wasn’t!
Typically, I’m pretty good about keeping my real estate wanderings to the United States, but then I came across Savills, and all that self-control and non-procrastination went down the tubes!
With seriously unbelievable properties throughout the UK and other international locations, I somehow clicked through to the beautiful property above and am ready to start packing. [Should probably start saving, first, eh?]
Just look at that view, and the furniture. And the infinity pool! Luckily, the inside is just as gorgeous but I wouldn’t need that for much more than sleeping.
Tell me – do you ever find yourself clicking around for dream homes? Or am I alone in this crazy hobby?!
