The tlf08 chair by Tobias Labarque is made of beams of Padauk wood, assembled into the form of a lounge chair. The corners of each beam have been rounded off to provide comfort, and the tree rings are shown in plain view so that you can see the tree’s structure. Making its debut at this year’s Milan Furniture Fair, the High Rise works vertically instead of horizontally. Being described as a “sub-aquatic version of the Charles Eames Lounge Chair” the Lobster Chair sure is getting plenty of attention. Well deserved in my opinion, this chair is definitely interesting, while also being something I would proudly put in my home.
The Lobster Chair is produced in Denmark by Strictly Design. It features a shell made from laminated bent wood and a chrome-plated swivel base. See more here.
