We can definitely feel the chill outside here in New Jersey but the days still have a warm sun overhead to enjoy until fall really comes down on us. It got me thinking how nice it would be to have a picnic at the park or even in the backyard especially once the leaves begin turning beautiful red, orange and golden hues.
Obviously, one of the most important aspects of having a good picnic is the food! But I was thinking of one of the fundamentals that can sometimes be overlooked – what are you having your picnic on?
I came across this wonderfully stylish and comfortable picnic blanket to lounge out on called The Fatboy Picnic Lounge – this spacious rug comes with four over-sized red pins to keep grounded (in case of a strong breeze!) and a brush to keep clean from debris and fallen leaves. It is made from weather resistant material and has a water-repellant coating. There is a convenient pocket attached to it providing space for your phone and keys. The strap allows you to easily roll it up to easily transport your picnic to anywhere you choose.

The Baba Lounger is a sleek side chair made of suede and stainless steel.
Both the frame and cylinders within the Baba Lounger are made from durable stainless steel, a recyclable material.
As you can see in the image above, each stainless steel cylinder is stuffed with an individual suede cushion for added comfort. No hand tools are necessary for assembly.
The Baba Lounger is designed by London design firm Objekt Incorporated.

Materials: VASTLIG
Description: This works best with younger plants, though I have transplanted full size plants into this upside-down configuration without too much problem.
Tools: Scissors, plant, dirt, boxboard or cereal box-type material-(you can use felt too.) A pole for hanging your plant.
1. Look at your plant and decide if you want to push the roots up through the bottom or if you want to push the plant down through the bottom.
2. Get you VASTLIG bag and cut a X on the bottom. It should be as wide as the branching leaves on your plant or the root ball. You don’t want to make this too big or the plant will fall out. But you can make your X smaller in the next step.
3. Cut the boxboard or felt to fit the bottom of the bag- it doesn’t have to fit exactly, but it must be a few inches bigger than the X. This is a collar.
4. Cut collar from the edge of the boxboard or felt to the center, and when you get to the center, cut a circle shape. Set this aside.
5. Now put your plant through, then grab your collar and nestle it down into the bag so it holds the roots and keeps them from falling out of the X.
6. Add dirt and water and you are done.
