Noa Dotan is a recent graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design whose final project explores family and healing. Family Matters is a family of toys for family therapy. Born from her love of toys and inspired by the need for 3D objects in the professional therapy environment, Family Matters is a series of relate-able objects for both therapists and patients. Noa explains that the toys can be incorporated into therapy at three different levels: 1) The family experience; The family is introduces to the characters who allow, by projecting, a beginning of a conversation and an open dialoged where one does not exist, creating family interaction and connections. 2) The individual experience; Each family member can choose his own personal character and give it its own Identity

If there’s one major thing that flat screen TVs can do that tube televisions couldn’t, it’s blending into your home decor. There’s no way those big bulky boxes could be made as subtle as the flat screens in the images above.
In the first image from Better Homes and Gardens, a wall-mounted TV is surrounded by black and white wall decor to help the television blend into the gray walls. In the next image, the TV, along with colorful photos and bright wall scones, add life to a dark, almost-black wall. The third image is the only TV that isn’t mounted on the wall, yet it still seamlessly blends into the decor with the assistance of the wall art combined by a stack of books and a tall table lamp.
What do you think about these images? Do you like to blend your television in or do you not mind having it stand out a bit?
