WAFFT by Tani-Matsumura

The WAFFT series by Tani-Matsumura (Takaaki Tani and Kazunori Matsumura) consists of a table and a stool. The theme of the furniture is “waft.” Made of plywood that is a hybrid between aluminum and beech wood, the flexible thin material that is strong enough to support the weight. The airy twisting of the legs also makes it look like “a leaf dancing in the air.” Photos by Kenta Hasegawa. Skin Collection by Pepe Heykoop

Skin Collection is a series of furniture covered in leather remnants. Pepe Heykoop used what was leftover from leather furniture companies to cover chairs. Similar to our random skin patterns and cell growth in nature, the leather scraps are pieced together to make unique pieces. The collection will be exhibited at DMY Berlin in June. Cross Side Chair by David Irwin

Industrial designer David Irwin ‘s Cross Side Chair launched at ICFF . The simple yet elegant construction consists of two interlocking profiles, which support a fully upholstered seat. The quality of both the solid walnut frame and the 100% wool fabric from British Manufacturer Camira perfectly compliment and enhance the simple form and clean lines of the chair, which take their cue from the symmetrical nature of an hour glass.
