Does your lighting have you in between a rock and a hard place? The Rock Lamp from Diesel with Foscarini is a contemporary lamp that will brighten your spirits, and your decor.
Available in a pendant or floor lamp, the Rock has unique facets on its outer shell as well as the bottom of the lamp, where the light shines through. Available in black or white lacquered polycarbonate, the Rock lamp reflects a strong light, despite its interesting nooks and crannies.

The Rock Lamp is part of the Successful Living Collection, a collaboration between Diesel (the clothing company!) and Foscarini, an Italian lighting company. The goal of the Successful Living Collection is to capture the Diesel lifestyle: “Ironic, unconventional, fun, fiery and creative.”

This summer, Artecnica is introducing new innovations that create, reflect, embody, and transform the concept light. It’s a fresh direction that accurately captures their latest sentiments (and the design industry overall): “Look up, look forward. Good things are on the way.” Part of the collection are these Bright Side hanging lights by Rich Brilliant Willing , which each offer a message of optimism printed on the top of the light. The phrases on the glass are “Always look on the bright side of life,” You can’t have light without darkness,” and “In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary” — messages that share the theme of optimism that underlies Artecnica’s newest collection

The W101 Lamp: a paper desk light. Like a paper lantern, but better.
Designed by Swedish architects Claesson Koivisto Rune for the Swedish lighting company Wästberg, the W101 Lamp is innovative and contemporary. Made of renewable materials, the W101 Lamp is created using DuraPulp, a combination of wood pulp and starch. Previously, the architects designed a chair out of DuraPulp but wanted to challenge themselves by combining light, electricity and paper all in one with the W101 Lamp.
In a press release, Magnus Wästberg, founder and CEO of Wästberg says: “Paper has been used throughout history for making lamp shades. Now we are using paper for the actual structure of the fixture adding advanced LED technology.”
What do you think about the W101 Lamp?

While at ICFF, Fletcher Cameron’s screens and lights caught my eye. There was something fun and modern, even mid-century modern about them that I really enjoyed. Fletcher Cameron is primarily a kitchen design firm, so I was surprised to see these

Sit outside and roast marshmallows while relaxing on the Marshmallow! Designed by Cici Chen and Lui Honfay of Cilicon Factory, the Marshmallow is a set of lightweight concrete outdoor seating. Included in the set are three pieces: a bench, 2-seater and 3-seater.
The lightweight concrete used to make the Marshmallow series is durable enough to withstand outdoor terrain, yet light enough to move and maintain. The versatile material of concrete enables color, in which a fluffy pink is used here to add to the whimsical appeal of Marshmallow. The Marshmallow is sealed with a special agent to keep maintenance low.
So, are you ready to roast some marshmallows on the Marshmallow?
