Created by famous dutch designer Marcel Wanders , the “United Crystal Woods” collection for Baccarat is filled with poetry and beauty. There are four product groups: La forêt des songes (Forest of Dreams): a series of candlesticks and vases combining deeply cut crystal with the lightness of filigree. Les esprits des bois (Spirits of the Woods): a family of deers metamorphosed into exceptional candelabra. Les rois de la forêt (Kings of the Forest): a series of four majestic vases. L’ivresse des bois (Woods of Euphoria): a collection of wine glasses and carafes, engraved with the designer’s favorite seal.

A prime example of great minimalist design, the Conceal Bookshelf makes a statement with its “lack” of design. The design is smart though, which is why I like it, and of course it looks fun too. Your favorite books appear to float right off the wall and best of all these shelves are available for a reasonable $14!

These lovely vases make you think for a split second that you can touch them and they’d feel like soft drapery. Glass artists Eva Milinkovic and Kriston Gene of Tsunami Glassworks use hand-blowing and etching techniques to create solid vases with a softness. The glass itself reminds me these curtains while the pretty color schemes remind me of auroras. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 1 comment | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Glass – Crafts – Shopping – Facebook – Design Milk
