MASHStudios introduces the LAXSofa — a brand new addition to the LAXSeries. It’s versatile in that it can be arranged in many different configurations. The imported European fabric, made of Viscose, and a biodegradable recycled cotton chenille, keeps sustainability at a high priority, which has been an important part of the LAXseries since its inception. Viscose is a fiber derived from beechwood, is an exemplary green material because it is a renewable yarn source. We think this is very cool.

Design studios contributing to the Corn Craft exhibition curated by Studio Toogood and Gallery FUMI kept the focus on corn and wheat. Nacho Carbonell used corn resin, corn juice, ground corn, barley, wheat, oats, cornflakes, and steel rod reinforcements for furniture in the Crop collection designed to evoke the textures and colours of the cornfield. Raw-Edges Design Studio made a table of dry wheat set in wooden frames, and plates were planted within the stalks of wheat. The theme continued throughout the space, thanks to Rowan Mersh’s hanging installation composed of wheat, barley and oats strung onto mono-filament wire.
