Mirrored Nightstands

Does anyone else love mirrored furniture as much as I do? I just can’t enough! I wonder what my house would look like if almost every piece was mirrored!

Anyway, for today I’ll stick to mirrored nightstands. I have them in my bedroom, and last night when I couldn’t sleep, I was just staring at the one next to my bed and admiring it’s beauty. I tried to take a picture of one but it didn’t come out good. I just love the hint of glamour that mirrored furniture adds to a room – and surprisingly they aren’t too bad to keep clean.

What do you think of these mirrored nightstands? Do you like the effect they add to these bedrooms?

æther Geometric Glass and Metal Terrariums

Terrariums are made for people with black thumbs (i.e., me). Not only are they easy to take care of, they are beautiful to look at. They’re like little worlds contained in a miniature glass greenhouse

Wallflower Photographic Wall Decals

We’ve featured wall decals before but never ones that are from high-resolution photographs. These Wallflower wall stickers are from high-quality photos that are enlarged to enormous proportions and are a great alternative to wallpaper. They’re super durable and won’t rip or fade, and go right on your walls like any self-adhesive decal. You can easily remove them and place them somewhere else, and do it over and over again.

Happy Friday!

It’s looking like a dreary weekend here in NJ this weekend, perfect weather to spend all day in bed watching movies. And eating delicious comfort food! What are your plans??

Speaking of comfort food, here’s this week’s Weekly Six:

1 – Really liking the style of this modern chair.

2 – There’s the comfort food I was talking about – mozz-stuffed meatloaf!

3 – Can’t go wrong with a fun heart necklace.

4 – Cute sticky notes for Fall.

5 – Drooling over this navy dining room.

6 – I am still stuck on Fall, but seeing a lot of Christmas stuff here and there. I’m not ready yet – are you??

And that’s all. Enjoy the weekend!!!!

Friday Five with O&G Studio

Designers Jonathan Glatt and Sara Ossana of O&G Studio  met over ten years ago as graduate students at RISD, where Jonathan studied jewelry and metal fabrication and Sara studied interior architecture and theatrical set design. Their backgrounds have a synergistic dynamic which allow them to blend intricate detailing and experimentation with scale and proportion to bring traditional motifs into the 21st century. The duo, who has an affinity for old things, look towards the wisdom and inventiveness of traditional American design traditions for inspiration. They feel strongly that furniture should be collectible, meaning relevant and fresh now, yet will last for a lifetime and be passed down for generations. They currently work out of a 3,500sf combined studio and workshop space in the East Bay area of Rhode Island, and you can see that influence in their  Friday Five  inspirations.

London Design Festival 2012: designersblock Highlights

With queues around the block for the opening night party, designersblock was set to be hit from the beginning. And, it didn’t disappoint. Known for their use of interesting spaces (they were in the Familoe Building last year), this year’s venue was the Southbank Centre’s Festival Village – a space that’s never been open to the public before; it’s usually used as a green room for performing artists. It’s a comparatively small space, but it was jam-packed with unexpected art, design and experimentation
