Dutch designer Robert Bronwasser has created perhaps the most happy watering can I’ve ever seen, or at least the best looking. Designed for the Dutch company Goods , the Spring watering can has two openings – a wide one to fill the can up with water and a narrow spout for watering your plants. Spring purposefully has a skinny neck for you to hold onto while watering. It holds more than two liters and is available in four colors. Happy watering! French object design student Elodie Elsenberger created the Land(e)scape Desk as a 2nd year thesis project and it’s quite impressive. The desk uses no screws or glue, only electrical cord that is woven through the wood to hold it together. Instead of having a bunch of different desk accessories piled up, the desk has a uniform look with the woven cord creating all of the storage and organizational items you may need. I especially love the caged lamp. I love how the desktop looks almost like a topographical map.

We have a ton of fresh basil in our garden, so I’ve been looking for different ways to put it to use. I’ve been making a ton of Strawberry Basil Margaritas, so I thought why not transition that to a salad dressing? Since we’ve been trying to eat more salads, this Strawberry Basil Salad Dressing was a delicious way to switch things up from my normal balsamic and olive oil dressing. Plus, it’s quick, easy, and good for you!
Here’s the recipe:
Strawberry Basil Dressing
4-6 strawberries, quartered
6-8 Basil leaves, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender. Blend until creamy, or desired consistency. Add more oil or vinegars to taste.
Initially, I started with about 5 basil leaves, but I kept adding more because I wanted a stronger basil taste, so if you want a less basil taste, use less leaves. I served this dressing over mixed greens, grilled chicken, feta and red onion. This was so easy that it inspired me to be more creative with salad dressings, what should I try next?
