Reinvention; Writing History in Aluminum

Last weekend was the first ever “Design Milk Presents” event, Reinvention; Writing History Through Aluminum , featuring new works by Brad Ascalon and Frederick McSwain (AM) for Neal Feay Studio , an exhibition at Bobby Berk Home (it runs through May 27 th so you can still catch it!) The objects, made of solid aluminum (quite weighty!) came from an accidental meeting between Brad Ascalon and Santa Barbara-based Neal Feay Studio. Alex Rasmussen, third generation owner of Neal Feay, has been exploring new ways to push aluminum manufacturing to a whole new level. He’s recently partnered with artists and now, he’s pioneering Neal Feay’s first venture into modern product design. Minty Fresh

Although the weather hasn’t been the warmest this week in NJ [lots of rain] – hopefully the upcoming holiday weekend will bring some scorchers. Along with the hotness comes the craving for something cool and refreshing – like the minty freshness above.

Have you taken part in the mint trend? I bought myself a mint sweater for Spring a few months back and it definitely added some freshness to my wardrobe. It’s just such a creamy yet refreshing color. I certainly wouldn’t mind a spunky mint kitchen like the one above – how about you?

What are your current mint cravings? [This post has made me want some mint chocolate chip ice cream, that's for sure!]
