Since I recently just started reading the i suwanee blog, I recently just came across their store Furbish, an excellent home store in Raleigh that just expanded to the ecommerce world.
And thank goodness for that because just look at thebeautiful pale pink sofa above. [I really, really need it.]
From furniture to home accessories and clothing, Furbish has bright and bold items of all kinds. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it! What’s your favorite item from Furbish?

Studio Ve is back with the Endy Series , which they exhibited in the Greenhouse section during Stockholm Design Week. Consisting of a stool, chair, and coffee table, Endy is made of leftover timber with painted ends. The painted wood comes directly from the saw mills, who paint the ends of the wood and discard it before it makes its way to the consumer.

Avihai Shurin’s Too Tight Stoo l is inspired by the story of Cinderella. It consists of a pillow pushed into a metal frame, which becomes the top of a stool.

Italian architect and designer Elena Galli Giallini has been living in Japan since 1995 and brings a multicultural education to her designs. She recently designed the Deinde Collection for Japanese furniture company Morishige . This collection incorporates the use of urushi, which is traditional Japanese lacquer, with modern furniture. Morishige is the leading producer of furniture with lacquer urushi so they decided to work with the designer to help bring the beauty of it to modern designs. The theme was “traditional within modernity” and they’ve done that beautifully with the artistry of the ancient lacquer techniques and the clean and minimal lines of the pieces.

My house would be at least 1000 times more fabulous if I had one of these Uovo Black Pearl chandeliers hanging in it. Wouldn’t yours?
As uovo is Italian for “egg,” the egg-shaped attributes of this gorgeous chandelier are made using glass-blowing techniques and then finished in either gold or silver.
The Uovo Black Pearl is made by glass company Lasvit in collaboration with designer Rony Plesi.
