Oink! Piggy Bank

Hairy Objects by Emilie Voirin

French designer Émilie Voirin presented some hairy new work at the London Design Festival . The Bun Boxes are made from porcelain with a lid made of hair. The whips and the shaving brushes — which are normally sharp or blunt objects — have been softened with the addition of hair.

Ilse Crawford Lamp

Ilse Crawford designed this lamp for Wästberg, which I found while perusing Magazin . It is made of wood, porcelain, and iron, an odd combo. According to the website, materials impact our emotional psyche and project a variety of feelings (do you think that they do?)
