I have a thing for acrylic furniture. I don’t know what it is, but I love it! So, today’s Would You Rather is all about acrylic!
If you had your choice, would you go for a small acrylic console table? How about a set of acrylic Louis Ghost chairs around your dining table?
Maybe you’d prefer to show off your storage with a gorgeous acrylic trunk? Or would you rather a glamorous acrylic coffee table stealing the show in your living room?
If it were me, I’d choose E) All of the above!! And perhaps you’d choose F) None of the above. That’s ok – because then there’s more acrylic for me! So, seriously – which would you rather? Is your fondness for acrylic as great as mine?

This very cool wool rug by Portuguese product designer Rita Botelho was displayed at Dutch Design Week at the end of October. It’s called the Hub Rug, and is an enlarged model of a color swatch set that was conceived for a Portuguese rug manufacturer that sought to organize its available color samples.

The holidays are quickly approaching and it’s never too early to start thinking about potential gifts. And since you’ll most likely be attending a few parties, today’s Etsy round-up includes several items that will be great for your hostess with the mostest.
Personally, I love the idea of giving and receiving something for the kitchen, because a fun pair of dish gloves or funky oven mitts aren’t something people typically buy for themselves. What kitchen knick-knacks are on your wish list this holiday season?

Ash Finish Contemporary 5 Piece Bedroom Set with Storage Bed
Queen Size Set includes: Queen Size Bed, 2 Nightstands, Dresser and Mirror
The Toscana Bedroom Set is an amazingly contemporary yet minimalistic work of art. It will make your home into a Feng Shui paradise. Its beautiful open wooden veneer finish gives it a very unique contemporary look. The Toscana is beautifully accented with decorative lighting in the headboard and the mirror. The platform has two drawers of storage on each side – totaling to 4 storage drawers in the platform. The Toscana bedroom has the same high quality finish on the outside of the set as on the inside of the set, meaning that the interior of all the drawers is done in the same finish as the exterior. All the drawers of the Toscana bedroom either in it’s night stands or it’s dresser have extra-deep drawers for increased storage space.
This bedroom elegantly utilizes a European Rail system, which ensures that the drawers do not shake when they are opened or closed. Which will considerably increase the life of this set because it will not be as prone to damage.
Finally the accents of this bedroom are truly astounding; most evidently seen when paying attention to the metal corners of the bed.
If you want to keep things simple in your bedroom, but still have an elegant and stylish set, then the Toscana is the set for you.

Designer Oscar Diaz , who studied in Bordeaux and London and trained in Paris and Tokyo, approaches his work not from a stylistic standpoint, but by examining in what context they’ll be used, and then layering in aspects that reflect its cultural connotations. From metal-coated cutlery created from parts of supermarket-sourced plastic bottles, to glass candle holders in which magnets are incorporated to adjust its height, Diaz’s work is as brainy as it is playful.

Happy Friday!! How are you spending the first lovely weekend of November? Will it be even lovelier due to the hour we’ll gain from Daylight Savings Time?
Here are this week’s Weekly Six links to check out, as collaged above!
1) Wouldn’t this Cookies and Cream Oreo Bark be a great dessert item to bring to parties this holiday season?
2) I keep going back to check out these colorful Bfrend bracelets – they’ll make great gifts! (For others and for myself!)
3) The lights lining the floor and going up the wall to the ceiling in this image are so festive – I definitely need to do something like this in my home for the holidays!
4) Here’s another fun thing to do with Christmas lights – poke them through canvas for a bright display.
5) The Holiday Gift Guide by Emily Henderson will not only give you great gift ideas, but also several fun DIYs for gift-giving and decorating.
6) How cool is this Inlamp by Sai Design Studio? Instead of typical lamps that stay on display whether on or off, the Inlamp has its own special cabinet for when not in use.
What fabulous things have you seen this week? We’d love for you to share them!

The Archiquarium (and the Archiquarium II) is a seriously stylish fish tank. I think this is what happens when your fish graduate from the fish hotel . Made by Swedish manufacturer Akvarie-Leasing in collaboration with Orrefors Glass Factory and designed by Karl-Oskar Ankarberg from Karl-Oskar Designstudio , this aquarium is for serious modern architecture lovers. The table is made from ash and the aquarium in 8-mm glass with a Corian® facade.
