The Springwood Collection is a set of modern seating arrangements created using a unique wood that springs as you sit.
The collection includes three stools, a three-seater bench and a side table. Shown above is Restless Legs, one of the stools. Another stool, the Original, has stationary legs.

The Bridge is the three-seater bench that has three springy wood seats and a powder coated frame. The springy wood seat is created using ash wood that has many intricate slits to assist in flexibility. Each seat has more than 480 slits created using CNC technology.

Shown above is the Clip, which is the third stool in the series. The legs of the Clip are folded like a paper clip using stainless steel.
The Springwood Collection is designed by Carolien Laro, a graduate student in Amsterdam.

The Bottle Candleholder is inspired by empty bottles that are used as candelabras.
Made of 4 mm thick steel, the Bottle Candleholders are an outline of a bottle with a matte powder finish and a felt bottom.

Two styles are available: a classic wine bottle and an oval cognac bottle.
The Bottle Candleholders are designed by Peter van de Water, who is founder of the design company Internal Affairs.

Have you ever wanted to own your very own stack of gold bars like in the movies? Here’s your chance. OK, these aren’t real gold bars… Aurum, Latin for “gold,” is a sculptural lighting system by Endesigns that resembles a stack of gold bars. Made of hand-cut and polished K9 crystal bricks in the classical shape of tapered gold bars, Aurum sits atop a base of American black walnut. Voila! has a few new original designs, but the hand collection really caught my eye, especially the “ Handelier “. They also have a standing light fixture and a sconce . Certainly not your run-of-the-mill home lighting solutions… I just want to give this guy a high five. Materials: STOLMEN post + mounting fixtures, sisal rope, small shelf, HESSUM doormat Description: Because cat furniture is the ugliest around and my friend needed every inch of her small apartment, I came up with this minimalistic climbing post . The shelf was on the wall already. The parts I needed cost about 60 euros. Steps: 1) I had to buy the 40 meters of rope in four 10 meter pieces.

The sculptural Magistral Cabinet created by New York-based artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz continues the artist’s investigation into the boundaries between functionality and symbolism walking the fine line between art and design. The cabinet is covered with a protective layer of 80,000 bamboo skewers. A set of concealed doors slide open to reveal its inner mechanisms and each one of its many compartments. The labor-intensive process of placing the bamboo skewers required a team of 12 woodworkers and a total of six weeks to individually hammer each skewer into the previously carved wooden structure.
