Hidden Art is giving five independent UK designers the opportunity to launch new products and prototypes during the Milan Furniture Fair. Their stand at SaloneSatellite will feature this beautiful Patternity Phase Bureau, which I am currently wishing was also going to be on display at ICFF. This is just the rendering, but isn’t it ravishing?

This flat pack stool is easy to assemble, lightweight, and easy to transport. The most distinctive characteristic of the 1-2-3 Sit stool is the joinery (dovetail joint) and the combined folded steel and oak wood which represents a new method of joinery. It is simple and effective, that’s why it is called the 1-2-3 Sit.

Have you heard about Bloomingdale’s Big Window Challenge?! Three designers, three windows at the style mecca . The windows are designed by Eileen Joyce (Bloomingdale’s Operating Vice President Interior Design), Maxwell from Apartment Therapy, and Eddie Ross from Elle Décor. Can you match the designer to the window? Which do you like best?

There are things I like and dislike about each, but there is definitely one I identity with the most. You can vote on your favorite here or by texting 1 for Elle Décor, 2 for AT, or 3 for Bloomingdale’s to 89800. One vote per person per day!

This lacquered steel coat rack designed by Ana Mir and Emili Padros for the brand Moustache breaks one of the fundamental rules for children: don’t draw on the walls. Five colored pencils give this rack a unique twist that provides permission to make a mess. via Holy Cool ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 1 comment | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Facebook – Steel – Design Milk – Business – Materials
