Plenty of your chairs have springs, but you never really stop to think about them do you?  Frank Winnubst changes that with this chair he calls Springtime.  Developed through research about the various kinds of springs and which create optimum seating comfort, function in this case dictated form.  More of an interesting piece than a comfortable one I’m sure, Winnubst does add a knitted cover to each spring on the top layer to make the “chair” less hard and cold.

This chair is The Italian Pride Edition of the Campana brothers Vermelha chair. Five hundred meters of acrylic and cotton rope were weaved together to create this piece, which includes the three colors of Italy’s national flag.
